How to Log Your Service Hours

The easiest and most reliable way to keep up with your service hours is to log them on OrgSync.

2018 Volunteer Awards Information

Each year the Maroon Volunteer Center hosts the Volunteer Awards Banquet in which individual volunteers and groups are recognized for their volunteer efforts. Several awards are presented during the banquet for volunteer service completed within the last 12 months, including:


Spirit Awards

· Individual - 50 hours


Individual Excellence in Community Service Awards

· Gold Level- 500 hours

· Silver Level- 250 hours

· Bronze Level- 100 hours


Group Excellence in Community Service Awards

- Gold Level - 1,000 or more hours*

- Silver Level - 500 to 999 hours*

- Bronze Level - 200 to 499 hours*

*All Groups must have an average of 20 hours of service per member to be eligible


Distinguished Annual Awards

· Student Volunteer of the Year

· Student Group Effort of the Year

· Student Organization of the Year

· Faculty Volunteer of the Year

· Staff Volunteer of the Year


The Maroon Cord (graduating students only)

To nominate an individual or group for a "Distinguished Annual Awards" please complete the nomination form. The nominations deadline is April 6, 2018.

The 2018 Volunteer Awards Banquet is scheduled for April 23, 2018. All volunteer and groups who wish to be considered must have all hours submitted and verified on OrgSync by April 6 at 12:00pm. Hours will be accepted from April 4, 2017 - April 6, 2018.
